Dr Marcin Lewandowski is an experienced manager, tutor, teacher trainer and researcher with a demonstrable history of working in the adult education and community learning sector. As an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) teacher and project manager, he has been involved in issues surrounding the delivery of ESOL in the third sector in London for the past twenty years.
Marcin’s recently completed doctoral study looked at the Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and the goals setting methodology underlying this document and sought to establish if it could be re-engineered and ‘de-institutionalised’ to foster learner autonomy, promote out-of-classroom learning and lead to greater community cohesion. Marcin is currently managing a Working West London project which provides tailored support to refugee groups in west London.
