Dr Anne Irfan is a historian of Middle East migration, specialising in UNRWA and Palestinian refugee experiences. Her PhD, completed at the LSE, examined UNRWA's institutional history in the Palestinian refugee camps across the Middle East. Dr Irfan has spoken at the UK Parliament in Westminster and the UN Headquarters in Geneva and New York on the Palestinian and Syrian refugee crises. She is currently a Departmental Lecturer in Forced Migration at the Refugee Studies Centre, Department of International Development at the University of Oxford, and a Guest Teacher in International History at the LSE.
